Prince William on Friday visited St Mary's, the largest and most populous island of the Isles of Scilly,  off the southwest coast of Cornwall, England.

Prince William was over 400 kilometers away from his home in Forest Lodge as he resumed his work after returning from Istanbul where he witnessed his favorite Aston Villa win the  Europa League.

During his trip, William visited the island’s hospital and met patients and staff.

The future king also met local emergency responders and planted a replacement Monterrey pine, reflecting the islands’ recovery, resilience and long-term renewal.

Another Instagram post shared on The Prince and Princess of Wales' social media read, "Proud of the work we’ve been doing with our partners to open a new hospital facility designed to strengthen healthcare provision on the Isles of Scilly. The community‑led extension brings services together, improving access, continuity of care and resilience in a remote island setting."
