The Jackson police claimed to have killed an alleged robber in an encounter near Ibrahim Masjid, Sikandarabad, early on Tuesday morning. SHO Shahoor Bangash said a patrolling police team signalled two bike riders to stop for a check but the duo tried to speed away. A chase ensued and police claimed the suspects opened fire at them near Ibrahim Masjid. The law enforcers retaliated, fatally injuring one of the suspects while the other somehow managed to escape. The identity of the deceased, officials said, could not be ascertained as yet, but added that he seemed to be a Baloch. The body was shifted to the Edhi Morgue.
