LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders have termed corruption and bad governance poison for country.

The PTI senior leaders, including former governor of Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, Ejaz Chaudhry, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, Rana Abdul Sami and Waleed Iqbal while addressing a Labour Day event, demanded rulers to think for the welfare of country instead of saving their wealth.

Chaudhry Sarwar said all roots of problems are annexed to the vicious cycle of corruption, bad governance, economic disparity, and injustice in country. He said the demand for free and fair accountability is not a crime.

Thousands of factories have shut down due to outages, he said, adding PTI is striving to make this country a nation of Iqbal and Jinnah. Without the enactment of the rule of law and equal laws for the poor and the rich, Pakistan can’t move ahead in any case, he said.

Opposition Leader Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed said Pakistan can only move forward by eradicating the horrific corruption apparatus in country.Ejaz Chaudhry said Pakistan is fighting war on terrorism but war on corruption is also essential for existence of country.Waleed Iqbal and Hammad Azhar expressed regret over the sad state of labourers in country due to extensive outages and closing of all industrial units.
