LAHORE: The LPG Association of Pakistan (LPGAP) has expressed the concern on the notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) regarding consumer price of Rs910 inclusive of all taxes and charges, a statement said on Saturday.
This unrealistic price will force the LPG industry to close down their businesses.
The LPG association regrets the announcement made by Ogra without realising its impact on the consumers and the industry.
The Ministry for Petroleum and Natural Resources has further aggravated the situation by pressurising the authority to issue notifications without incorporating the interest of the stakeholders who deliver LPG to the masses, it added.
This uncalled for action by the regulators will not only shut the industrial units, but will also bring financial hardships to over 0.5 million people associated with this business, it added.
