The present government is working on small, medium and long-term projects to meet the energy requirement of the country. The country has also joined the club of countries which are producing energy through renewable energy sources.
Renewable energy is generated through natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides etc. The developed countries have made great progress in generating clean energy. The developing countries have also started different projects to promote the environment-friendly energy for survival of mankind. The renewable energy sector is relatively an underdeveloped sector in the country. There have been some efforts to build solar, wind and tidal power plants. There is a dire need to launch such projects more to tap the renewable energy potential in Pakistan.
