‘Welfare of neglected children joint responsibility of society’

FAISALABAD: Commissioner Momin Agha has said that welfare of the neglected children is the joint responsibility of the society.
He said this while paying a visit to the Child Protection Bureau here on Friday. The commissioner spent some time with the children and presented gifts and distributed sweets among them. He said that we must not forget the deprived segments of the society. MPA Dr Najma Afzal, AC (General) Mehr Shafqat, Child Protection Bureau incharge Ulfat Abbas, Anjuman-e-Tajran president Kh Shahid Razzaq and others were also present. Meanwhile, DCO Salman Ghani also paid a surprise visit to the DHQ Hospital and Allied Hospital and checked duties of doctors/staff while reviewing the medical services in emergency wards. He inquired about the health of patients and prayed for their early recovery. The DCO checked the availability of medicines and machinery and directed the hospital administration to maintain the duties of the staff and rapid medical treatment facilities should be provided to patients. He asked the MS to arrange additional doctors and paramedics for speedy treatment of injured patients. Punjab Medical College Principal Prof Dr Al Fareed Zafar also visited the DHQ Hospital and devised a strategy for deployment of additional staff at the surgical ward.
