Huge fire breaks out in South Gate industrial area, Los Angeles County
Although the fire appears near residential homes, it is unclear if any injuries have been reported, with rescue operations underway and the cause still under investigation
Unfortunate incident reports a massive fire blaze in Los Angeles County on Sunday.
The incident was reported after a group of firefighters were seen battling a large industrial fire in South Gate as thick black smoke and flames rose into the air.
As informed by ABC7 News, the blaze was reported in the block of Industrial Avenue at a 75-foot by 75-foot commercial building at noon.
Crews said that the fire was designated as a second alarm as the flames continued to rip through the property, which appeared to be SSSJJ Auto Service, which was closely surrounded by other businesses and dozens of homes.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation. Although the fire appears to be near homes, it is unclear if any injuries have been reported.
Furthermore, it is still unknown if any other structures had sustained damage in the fire, as the story is still developing.
