SUP denounces FIRs against Zain Shah
HYDERABAD: The Sindh United Party (SUP) has condemned what it calls false and fabricated FIRs registered against its central president and convener of the Save River Indus Movement, Syed Zain Shah, at the Luni Kot and Kotri police stations, Jamshoro district. The SUP has announced province-wide protests on Sunday, September 7, against the FIRs lodged against Shah.
The party described these FIRs on Friday as part of a broader campaign of political victimisation orchestrated by the Sindh government to suppress dissent and democratic voices. According to an official police report filed at the Luni Kot police station, the complainant, Mir Ghulam Rasool, alleged that on August 31, 2025, they were intercepted by a motorcycle rider who attempted to block their path at 5pm while travelling with fellow policemen.
