King Harald of Norway has shared major update on Queen Sonja's health after she was hospitalised with heart issue.

Norwegian royal court announced on Wednesday that “Queen Sonja of Norway, 88, has been admitted to the National Hospital in Oslo with heart failure and heart fibrillation.”

She was diagnosed with heart failure on Sunday and initially was treated at home.

Meanwhile, sharing major update on the queen’s health, King Harald of Norway, currently on a three-day tour of the county of Vestland, announced to the press that Queen Sonja's medication is now under control.

The Majesty Magazine shared King’s statement on its X, formerly Twitter handle saying, “She is feeling much better, she has left the National Hospital in Oslo.”

“As far as I know, she is feeling much better,” the 89-year-old king told reporters when asked about his wife while on a visit outside Oslo.

As per reports, Sonja, who was fitted with a pacemaker in January 2025 after experiencing an irregular heartbeat while on a ski trip, was taken ill on Sunday and admitted to the hospital in Oslo on Wednesday.

She was unable to go on the trip with her husband, and the royal palace had said she could remain in the hospital under observation for several days.
