The Islamabad Market Committee on Friday issued the daily price list of fruit and vegetables.

According to a spokesman, the rate list of vegetables in Islamabad except for Jinnah Super, Super and Kohsar markets is as under, potato per kilogram is Rs35, onion Rs28, tomato Rs52, ginger Rs90, garlic Rs188, garlic (China) Rs188, lemon Rs120, ladyfinger Rs55, green zucchini Rs54, pumpkin Rs52, brinjal Rs40, peas Rs128, farsh bean Rs80, tanda (walaiti) Rs65, tanda (desi) Rs78, cucumber Rs30 capsicum Rs55/38, green chilli Rs48, cauliflower Rs78/50, cabbage Rs45, bitter gourd Rs45, spinach Rs36 turnip Rs60, maroo Rs58, yam Rs68, carrot Rs60, chicken Rs138 and egg per dozen Rs81.

Likewise, he said that rates of fruit per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows; apple (kala kulo) Rs152/132, apple (white) Rs105/75, apple (China) Rs215/185, apple (New Zealand) Rs270/240, banana (Pak) Rs145/115, banana (India) Rs180/155, Pear (China) Rs180, melon Rs35/25, white melon Rs28/20, watermelon Rs24/18, apricot (Swat) Rs120/105, peach Rs115/90, garma Rs68/40, mango (Sundari) Rs120/90, mango (Maldeh) Rs72/50, mango (Almas) Rs52/35, mango (Langra) Rs70/48, mango (Chaunsa) Rs118/90, mango (dosari) Rs80/65, mango (Ratool) Rs120/95, mango (Desi) Rs58/40 and apricot (Kabli) Rs160/135.

The spokesman has asked all the people to follow this list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
