LAHORE:In a remarkable gesture of service, a free dialysis camp was organised on Eid-ul-Azha at Tajpura Scheme by a private Dialysis Centre, providing essential treatment to patients.
Led by Chairman Dr M Jameel and Senior Vice President Munir Ahmed Shahid, the medical, paramedical, and technical teams devoted their time to selfless patient care. The event was further uplifted by the presence of hockey Olympian Khawaja Junaid, who visited the centre to encourage both staff and patients. Khawaja Junaid was briefed on the centre’s expansion efforts, including specialised wards for hepatitis B and C patients and a state-of-the-art RO plant. Dr Jameel shared that the centre provided free dialysis to over 5,000 patients last year, saving them nearly Rs one billion in transportation costs.
He also announced plans to double service capacity with the installation of 10 to 20 new dialysis machines. Speaking to the media, Khawaja Junaid praised the centre’s commitment to public health and called on philanthropists to support this noble mission. The event concluded with a tribute to Kh Junaid. He was presented with a souvenir gift hamper, marking a memorable moment of sports and healthcare coming together for social impact.
