TikTok star murder suspect sent to jail on 14-day judicial remand
Police produced Hayat in court of Judicial Magistrate Ahmed Shehzad Gondal
ISLAMABAD: A local court on Wednesday approved the request for identification parade of suspect Umar Hayat arrested in the TikTok star Sana Yousaf murder case and sent him to jail on 14-day judicial remand.
The police produced Hayat in the court of Judicial Magistrate Ahmed Shehzad Gondal, who expressed his anger over the absence of the prosecutor and district prosecutor. “Where are the prosecutors of my court? Today, everyone has come. Call the district prosecutor to the courtroom.”
The duty prosecutor, however, told the court that the prosecutor was on leave. Duty Magistrate Ahmed Shehzad said the case could proceed if the district prosecutor came to court.
Later, the duty magistrate took up the request of the investigating officer and sent Hayat to jail on judicial remand for 14 days as well as ordering his identification parade.
