Two children killed in Swat roof collapse
MINGORA: Two children were killed and as many injured when an under-construction house collapsed in Kotnai area of Khwazakhela Tehsil of Swat on Saturday.
According to police reports, the children were playing on the roof of the incomplete structure when it gave way beneath them. As a result, two young boys, Zain and Dawood Khan, lost their lives. The injured, identified as Bilal Khan and Ahmad Zaib, were quickly rescued from the debris and shifted to hospital in Khwazakhela for treatment.
The local residents and rescue teams rushed to the scene and worked together to recover the children from the rubble. The sudden collapse has sent shockwaves through the community, raising concerns about construction safety and supervision in the area. Authorities have not yet confirmed the exact cause of the collapse, and investigations are currently underway.
