DIG reviews security, police performance in Bajaur

KHAR: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Malakand Division, Sheer Akbar Khan, visited Bajaur district to assess the overall security situation and review the performance of the district police. Upon his arrival at the district headquarters in Khar, he was warmly welcomed by District Police Officer (DPO) Bajaur Waqas Rafiq, SP Investigation Bajaur, SP CTD Bajaur, and other senior police officers.

During the visit, DIG Sheer Akbar Khan paid tribute to the martyrs at the Bajaur Police Lines Memorial, offering flowers and saluting the police force’s brave personnel. He also prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks. The DIG wrote his thoughts in the memorial guestbook.

Later, DIG Sheer Akbar Khan chaired a meeting at the Bajaur Police Office, which was attended by all DSPs, SHOs, and heads of various police departments. In the meeting, the DIG reviewed the current crime rate and police performance.

He emphasized the urgent need for the arrest of suspects involved in serious cases, recovery of stolen property, and a crackdown on wanted criminals.Sheer Akbar Khan explained that the purpose of his visit was to assess the security situation in the district. He praised the district police for their dedicated service in maintaining law and order, despite the challenging circumstances.
