LAHORE:Provincial Minister for Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Khawaja Salman Rafique visited Mayo Hospital on Thursday and met with the patients of different wards.

The provincial minister expressed his anger over the non-functioning of AC in ENT and other wards. He directed all HODs to remain present in their departments. He said that MS should not wait for the visit of any minister or secretary but should improve the matters themselves. Providing better treatment facilities to patients in the hospital is the basic responsibility of MS.

Khawaja Salman directed the MS to him a report by evening after correcting the matters in Mayo Hospital. How long will we continue to issue instructions to MSs by visiting government hospitals. The problems reported by the patients should be resolved immediately. Now we will not give a damn but will take action. He said that problems are being identified in hospitals on a daily basis. Creating facilities for patients is one of the basic responsibilities of MSs. MSs who do not create facilities for patients have no place in the health department.
