Uzbek food expo opens

Islamabad:The three-day expo featuring top Uzbekistan food-related export-quality products for the people of Pakistan opened at the Centaurus Mall. The top 50 exporting companies of Uzbekistan are participating in this expo, with more than 50 selected products on display.

The ‘Made in Uzbekistan’ food expo was inaugurated by Alisher Tukhtayev (ambassador of Uzbekistan), Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan (CEO The Centaurus Group, president IDA, Ambassador Mohammad Azhar Mazlan (High Commissioner of Malaysia), Atadjan Movlamov (ambassador of Turkmenistan), Avazbek Atakhanov (ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic), Frederico Silva (ambassador of Portugal), Christy Ruban (High Commissioner of Sri Lanka), Sharifzoda Yousuf Toir (Ambassador of Tajikistan), and Yerzhan Kistafin (ambassador of Kazakhstan), Khazar Farhadov (ambassador of Azerbaijan). Nasir M. Qureshi President ICCI was also present on the occasion.

Speaking at the event Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan said that such expos encourage foreign businesses and investors to explore business opportunities, joint ventures and partnerships. He also highlighted that expos provide a platform for local businesses to connect with international buyers, distributors and business partners. He added that the Mall will continue to host such events in the future, giving countries the opportunity to showcase their local products, services and brands in Pakistan to increase international sales and expand into new markets.
