Doctor killed in Burewala
According to police, deceased was Dr Nemat Ali, a resident of Chichawatni
BUREWALA: A veterinary doctor was on Saturday shot dead while his wife and nine-year-old daughter injured when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on their car near the Mujahid Colony bridge on the Lahore Road.
According to police, the deceased was Dr Nemat Ali, a resident of Chichawatni. He was rushed to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital but succumbed to injuries. His injured wife, Iram, and daughter are receiving medical treatment.
Initial investigations reveal that Iram had divorced her first husband, Umar Farooq, and married Dr Nemat 12 days ago.
The injured woman alleged that her former husband, along with his brothers, orchestrated the attack. At the time of the attack, Iram’s two children from her first marriage a son and a daughter were also in the car but remained unhurt.
