Rehan Zeb’s death anniversary marked
KHAR: The first death anniversary of Rehan Zeb, who was a candidate for NA-8 and PK-22 in the last general election, was observed with calls demanding the arrest of his killers.A ceremony was held at the hujra of MNA Mubarak Zeb Khan in Shah Naray area which was attended by a number of tribal elders, political leaders, and people from various walks of life.
Youth of Bajaur Vice Chairman Mian Habib Gul, Wajid Iqbal, Gul Munir Azad, Awami National Party leader Syed Siddiq Akbar Jan, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Anwar-ul-Haq, Rehman Wali Ehsas, Maulana Sultan, Sirajuddin Khan, Zair Muhammad Utmankhel, Malik Waheed Zaman, and known poet Bacha Zada Hairan attended the gathering.
The speakers paid rich tribute to Rehan Zeb, highlighting his contributions and dedication to the people. Special prayers were also offered for the deceased. Addressing the gathering, MNA Mubarak Zeb Khan, who is the brother of Rehan Zeb, vowed to dedicate his life to serving the people of Bajaur. MNA Mubarak Zeb Khan emphasized that his only desire was the welfare of his people.
“Bajaur has suffered from lawlessness. We will not tolerate further violence, he said, demanding the government to arrest Rehan Zeb’s killers.It merits a mention here that Rehan Zeb, who was contesting from NA-8 and PK-22, was killed during his election campaign in Bajaur on January 31, 2024.
