Three Lesco officials removed from service
LAHORE:Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) has removed three of its officials from service after their involvement in electricity theft and negligence in their duties proved.
The company's spokesman said here Sunday that on the instructions of Chief Executive Officer Engineer Shahid Haider, departmental actions are being taken against corrupt and incompetent employees.
He said that Chief Engineer (Operations) Muhammad Abbas has removed Assistant Manager Waheed Zafar, Line Superintendent Rizwan Zafar and a Meter Reader Mohsin from service for their involvement in electricity theft and negligence in their duties. Muhammad Abbas said that corrupt officers and employees are not only bringing disrepute to the company but also damaging the national exchequer. There is zero-tolerance policy against such elements in Lesco, he warned.
