ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Friday issued the latest overall database of registered voters with numbers reaching 132,254,310, including males and females on Nov 12.
The total number of voters was 131,531,645 on October 23, indicating an increase of 722,665 new voters during the brief period of around 20 days.
Of the staggering figure of 132,254,310 voters, there are 71,076,830 male and 61,177,480 female voters with respective percentage of 53.74pc and 46.26pc.
According to the ECP statistics, the total number of voters in Islamabad is 1,154,471, of which 605,031 are males and 549,440 females. Only in the federal capital, the gender gap is the narrowest as compared to other provinces, which is 52.41pc males and 47.59pc females.
The total number of voters in Balochistan is 5,526,217, of which 3,096,550 are males, while 2,429,667 are females. Likewise, the total number of voters in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa is 22,536,455 while the share of males is 12,260,691 and females is 10,275,764.
Similarly, the overall number of voters in Sindh is 27,736,414, whereas males are 14,990,198 and females 12,746,216.
Male voters in Punjab are 41,244,360, female voters are 35,176,393, bringing the total number of registered voters to 75,300,753.
