Islamabad again asks Kabul not to let Afghan soil be used against Pakistan
IBO conducted by security forces in Khyber District and killed Haqyar Afridi alias Khyberay and Gulla Jan
RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed three Khwarij in two engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
An Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) was conducted by the security forces in Bara, Khyber District. They effectively surrounded the location and killed Haqyar Afridi alias Khyberay and Gulla Jan.
In another incident, the movement of a group of Khwarij who were trying to infiltrate the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in South Waziristan was noticed. Troops effectively engaged them and thwarted their attempt to infiltrate. As a result, one Kharji was sent to hell, while three Khwarij got injured.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement on Saturday, said Pakistan had consistently been asking the Afghan government to ensure effective border management on their side. The security forces of Pakistan are committed to securing its border and eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday paid tribute to the security forces for conducting successful operations near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in South Waziristan and district Khyber.
