FIA places names of 24 suspects booked in Shahnawaz Kunbhar killing case on stop list
A total of 45 suspects were nominated in the FIR of the case that was registered at the Sindhri police
KARACHI: The name of 24 suspects in Dr Shahnawaz Kunbhar’s extrajudicial killing case, including a DIG and two SSPs, have been placed on the stop list.
A total of 45 suspects were nominated in the FIR of the case that was registered at the Sindhri police station of Mirpurkhas district on Friday, after which the Sindh home department wrote a letter to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Sindh director to stop those suspects from fleeing the country.
Acting on the letter, the FIA placed the names of 24 suspects on the stop list, including the names of former Mirpurkhas DIG Javed Jiskani, Mirpurkhas SSP Asad Chaudhry and Umerkot SSP Muhammad Asif Raza. The names of one inspector, four sub-inspectors, one head constable, 12 constables and three others have also been placed on the stop list.
