LAHORE: The International Cricket Council (ICC) Chief Executive, Geoff Allardice, has confirmed that the 2025 Champions Trophy will take place in Pakistan as planned, dismissing reports of the tournament’s relocation due to security concerns.
During a media briefing at the Women’s T20 World Cup, Allardice reaffirmed Pakistan’s status as the official host and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing preparations for the event. Allardice also claimed that no participating team has raised concerns about playing in Pakistan, and all teams remain fully committed to competing in the tournament. The 2025 Champions Trophy will be the first edition of the event after an eight-year break. The official dates for the tournament are yet to be announced.
