Kate Middleton fears for family after shocking palace break-in
Kate Middleton terrified for children after intruder hits Kensington Palace
Kate Middleton is reportedly terrified to the core after shocking security breach at Kensington Palace last month.
The incident left Kate and Prince William deeply shaken behind the scenes, a source shared with Closer Magazine, adding that the Princess of Wales still has not fully recovered from the shock.
Last month, Derek Egan entered the Kensington palace grounds twice just days before Christmas. Luckily, the Waleses were not there as they have moved to the Forest Lodge.
However, the couple still use the palace’s 20-room Apartment 1A as their London home.
Speaking on the matter, the insider shared that Kate has told William that she will not raise their family in fear.
“This wasn’t a minor scare – it was deeply unsettling,” the insider said. “When someone breaches the place you call home, it hits you in the stomach and suddenly, everything feels exposed.”
“It left them shaken in a way people don’t see. It was lying awake at night, replaying every ‘what if’ in your head. Kate was in tears,” the royal tipster revealed.
They continued, “She finds this side of royal life unbearable, and the idea that the children could be at risk genuinely terrifies her.
“However, Kate is strong and she’s trying her best to move past it. She’s told William that she didn’t sign up for their family to live in fear.”
