Police implicates MNA’s sons in journalist murder
However, investigating officer did not find sufficient evidence to implicate MNA Khalid Loond.
KARACHI: Two sons of Pakistan People’s Party MNA Khalid Loond were named as the planners of journalist Nasrullah Gadani’s murder in the police investigation.
As per police sources, the investigating officer of the slain journalist Nasrullah Gadani murder case, DSP Siraj Lashari submitted his investigation report to the SSP Ghotki on August 1, 2024.
The report concluded that MNA Khalid Loond’s close associates, Asghar Loond and his brother Barkat Loond, are directly involved in Nasrullah’s murder, and MNA’s two sons -- Noor Muhammad Loond, Shehbaz Loond, and their manager Abdullah Loond -- are involved as planners.
However, the investigating officer did not find sufficient evidence to implicate MNA Khalid Loond.
Journalist Nasrullah Gadani of Mirpur Mathelo district Ghtki was seriously injured in an armed attack on May 21 and later died in a hospital in Karachi on May 25, 2024, and a murder case was registered on the complaint of Pathani, mother of Nasrullah, against unknown persons in Mirpur Mathilo police station.
