Youth Affairs Dept set to hold mega Azadi Marathon
LAHORE:Punjab Youth Affairs Department is going to organize Punjab’s biggest marathon from Liberty Chowk on August 11. DG Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal said this during his visit to Liberty Chowk where he inspected the arrangements for Azadi Marathon and Family Fun Race here on Wednesday. DG Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab was accompanied by Director Admin M Kaleem, Director Sports Yasmeen Akhtar, Deputy Director Zahoor Ahmed, Chief Sports Consultant Hafeez Bhatti and other officials during his visit.
During his visit, Pervez Iqbal reviewed the registration process of athletes at the registration booths established at the Liberty Chowk. Talking on this occasion, Pervez Iqbal said that more than 5,000 male and female athletes are participating in Azadi Marathon.
