Slain officer’s father alleges police not making efforts to arrest killers

HYDERABAD: Ghulam Sarwar Kaka, the father of the slain FPSC officer Sache Dino Kaka, has alleged that the police and other relevant institutions are not making serious efforts to apprehend the killers of his son.

He was speaking to the media on Thursday. He lamented that the police and administration were not willing to serve justice to the bereaved family nor were they conducting raids to arrest any of the accused.

He demanded that the killers be arrested and brought to justice. According to the Matiari police, on the first day of Eidul Azha, an armed group fired at three persons, including a federal government employee, in Sirachun Kaka village of Tehsil New Saeedabad.

As a result of the firing, young officer Sache Dino Kaka, management executive of the insurance department of the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and his uncle Allah Bachayo Kaka died on the spot, and the officer's brother Nauman Kaka was injured.

The bodies and the injured were taken to the Taluka Hospital New Saeedabad. The post-mortem examination of the deceased was completed under the supervision of the medical superintendent of the hospital.

Matiari SSP Asghar Ali Shah also went to the hospital and sought details of the incident from the relatives. An FIR was registered at the New Saeedabad police station on the complaint of Ghulam Sarwar who nominated six persons in it.

The complainant said he had rented out a shop Siracho Kaka village and upon non-payment of the monthly rent, he had given notice to the shopkeeper to vacate the shop. The slain officer’s father alleged that six persons — Farooq, Javed, Nizamuddin, Noor Ahmad, Hassamudin and Abdul Kareem — were behind firing at his brother and sons for demanding rent. According to the Matiari police, one of the suspects nominated in the FIR, Javed, had been arrested, but the others had fled the village along with their families.
