Islamabad: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has launched an updated online portal to handle the pendency of cases and registrations for medical professionals.
The new portal is designed to facilitate the registration and documentation processes, addressing previous hurdles, according to PMDC President Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj.
He told reporters that he suggested updating the online portal to cover loopholes. "The updated portal has issued over 5,000 cases in just 20 days, demonstrating its effectiveness," he said.
The PMDC president said that the initiative was meant to streamline administrative procedures, enabling medical graduates to obtain necessary certifications without delays.
"The portal is designed for a seamless and easy-to-navigate user experience, with enhanced security measures to protect applicants' confidential information. It also offers a secure and straightforward process for fee payments and a reliable system for monitoring and managing application statuses," he said.
Dr Taj said that the PMDC's online portal marked a significant step forward in the digital transformation of its services, reducing the need for in-person interactions and minimising the risk of human error and mistakes.
"This upgrade not only tackles the backlog but also sets a new standard for service delivery in the healthcare sector," he said.
