To meet that end the Prime Minister decided to devolve his some of authority to the ministries and divisions concerned.

It says the SPPS Policy was introduced in 2019 by the then government for hiring of highly skilled/technical professionals on need basis for filling the capacity gaps in the ministries/divisions.

“The said policy was not being effectively utilized as it was highly centralized and difficult to implement,” the statement said, adding the present government made changes in it to fast-track hiring of professionals.
