PTI slams jail admin for ‘not allowing’ Imran’s checkup
In its meeting, the core committee emphasised that Dr. Asim should be instantly allowed to check Imran Khan
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Core Committee Monday strongly criticised the jail administration for not allowing Dr. Asim to conduct checkup of Imran Khan and urged the court to take prompt notice of the matter.
In its meeting, the core committee emphasised that Dr. Asim should be instantly allowed to check Imran Khan. The forum also strongly condemned the reference filed with the Supreme Judicial Council against the Islamabad High Court Judge Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani.
The panel alleged that the misconduct reference against Justice Kayani was part of the government’s ongoing efforts to intimidate and coerce judges.
It added that the reference of misconduct against a certain judge after sending toxic letters to honorable judges, who exposed the interference of spy agencies in the judicial affairs, was part of an organized campaign against the judiciary.
The forum urged the chief justice to take notice of the incidents of harassment of judges directly and indirectly so as to bring to limelight the persons responsible for this organized campaign against judges and judiciary.
On the completion of two years of the alleged “regime change” operation on April 9, the forum called upon the nation to hold peaceful protest across the country. The forum urged the people to hoist flags of Pakistan and PTI to show solidarity with their beloved leader Imran Khan.
The core committee strongly criticised the jail administration for not allowing the families members to meet Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and PTI President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi during the Eid holidays.
Meanwhile, Adviser to the KP Chief Minister Muzammil Aslam Monday alleged that the PDM regime was brought to power to fix the economy but it inflicted an economic catastrophe on the country, as the economy, growing at a pace of six percent was brought to zero. He alleged that Shehbaz Sharif had taking 30-people delegation to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah at the expense of public money amid serious economic constraints.
It may be mentioned Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar had stated before the PM’s Saudi visit that the prime minister and the members of the delegation will bear the expense of this tour from their own pockets.
