Brian Cox launches savage attack on Johnny Depp
Brian Cox launches severe criticism on Johnny Depp and other celebrated Hollywood celebrities
Brian Cox has strongly criticised notable Hollywood stars Johnny Depp, Jeremy Strong, Edward Norton, and others.
Cox sat with The Times for an interview, where he stated that he will “say what he wants” since he is about to turn 80 on June 1, 2026.
Reflecting on his time in the entertainment world, the legendary Scottish actor opened up about what he thinks of Depp, Strong, and Norton.
He told the outlet that he rejected the role of Governor Weatherby Swann in the Pirates of The Caribbean franchise, which was played by Jonathan Pryce, admitting that his decision brought him a sense of relief.
The real reason behind his turning down the role of governor was Depp because he considers him “so overrated” and “so overblown.”
Sharing his thoughts about his Succession co-star Strong, Cox said his approach was “f**ing annoying,” while he called Norton “a pain in the a*e.’
The Manhunter actor went on to call director Quentin Tarantino “meretricious” and Ian McKellen's acting “not to his taste.”
It is pertinent to mention that Brian Cox revealed that his wife Nicole Ansari always remains worried about his nonserious approach towards life but he does not feel the need to be “careful” anymore.
