Ration distributed among 64 lakh families: Azma

LAHORE : Minister for Information Azma Bokhari has said ration among 64 lakh families has been distributed, adding the government has decided to conduct a survey of the destitute within three months.

Talking to the media in the Punjab Assembly with regard to presenting one-month performance of the Punjab government, Azma Bukhari said," Today I have come to put forth one-month performance of the Punjab government before the media. Work has been carried out in Punjab only in comparison to any other province."

Azma Bokhari stated that according to the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, ration among 64 lac families has been distributed.

The Punjab government has decided to conduct a survey of the destitute within 3 months. A 90-day timeline has been assigned to accomplish the task on "Saaf Suthra Punjab" on which work is ongoing and the Punjab government is excellently carrying out this task. We are moving within a stipulated timeline and work on disposing of garbage is ongoing swiftly. No one will be allowed to throw garbage outside one's house or at any other public or private place. The people are overwhelming satisfied and happy in this regard over the timely step being taken by the Punjab government, she said.

Azma Bokhari censured that one sportsman became prime minister but failed to make even a single playground. “Not a single work of the CM is reduced to paper work only and every work will be seen to be done on ground as well,” the minister said.

She apprised that Free- Wi-Fi programme is going to be re-launched in Punjab. Three thousand houses would be constructed in every district and would be allotted on low price. The Punjab government is going to provide services to the people at their doorstep at a single call. Shehbaz Sharif had launched the Safe City project and now Safe City project is going to be launched in 18 additional districts of Punjab. Roads at the cost of billions of rupees are going to be constructed across Punjab. All medicines have started becoming available in the emergency across Punjab. The hepatitis patients would be provided medicines at their doorstep, the minister said.

Azma Bokhari underscored that for the first time in Punjab, decrease in the prices has been witnessed. We have launched ‘Green Punjab’ Programme under which 18 lac saplings have been planted in Punjab in a single day. A new price control mechanism is going to be introduced to control prices in Punjab. The male and female students would be given new interest-free motorcycles. We are going to launch online transfer of property keeping in view difficulties being faced by the overseas Pakistanis, the minister said.

She apprised that approval to Rs 30 billion Kisan Package has been granted. Over 50 thousand solar panels are going to be distributed among the consumers An Easter Package has been allocated for the Christian community as well, she said.

Azma Bokhari said CM Maryam Nawaz did not avail a single day leave. Once there was a CM who didn't know the difference between Nestle and Nespak.

“No public welfare programme has come to surface in other provinces to bring improvements among the lives of common man except in Punjab province. We have adequate time and the condition of Punjab would entirely change in coming five years. It is a vision of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz to launch an underground train system.

CM Maryam Nawaz takes rest for six hours only and works for 18 hours. Maryam Nawaz didn't get sick while in jail and will remain hale and hearty In-sha-Allah. The next Ramazan package would be introduced after preparing the report of deserving and impoverished people of Punjab.

We are going to establish state of the art Agricultural Units and a complete policy in this regard would be launched in the June budget. Those whose call was neither picked nor received by anyone are now calling PM Shehbaz Sharif. A three percent reduction in price- hike is going to be enforced soon,” Azma Bokhari concluded.
