Balaj Tipu murder case: Teefi Butt, Gogi Butt declared POs

LAHORE : Prime suspects Khawaja Tareef alias Teefi Butt and Khawaja Aqeel alias Gogi Butt in Ameer Balaj Tipu murder case have been declared proclaimed offenders (POs).

Despite over passing of one and a half month, the accused persons had not surrender before police but were on the run. Teefi Butt is out of the country and Gogi Butt was hiding inside the county. According to DIG Organised Crime Unit (OCU), police after declaring them POs had started the procedure to get red warrants issued against them.

It involved interior ministry. Once received the accused persons were supposed to be brought back to Pakistan using International Police.

Ameer Balaj Tipu was attending a marriage ceremony in a private housing society last month when he had been shot dead by a suspected shooter later identified as Muzaffar Hussain, a gunman of Teefi Butt, for 30 years. Muzaffar himself was shot dead instantly after the murder. Teefi and Gogi were nominated in FIR registered by Ameer Moasab, younger brother of Balaj.

The investigations so far pointed as Teefi the main character in masterminding and executing the murder of the youth.

A close friend of Ahsan Shah was arrested for spying and surveillance of Ameer Balaj for Teefi to facilitate his murder at a promise of 50 million rupees as reward.

He had received five million rupees. Ahsan had been sent to remand. DIG Imran Kishwar said that so far the investigations pointed out towards Teefi Butt as the prime accused behind the murder.
