DIG orders steps to ensure smooth traffic flow in Ramazan
DIG of Karachi Traffic Police Iqbal Dara held a meeting at the KCCI office on Wednesday on traffic issues ahead of Ramazan.
The meeting was attended by traffic SPs, Aziz Amir, law and order president of the KCCI, Abdul Qadir Noorani, member of the KCCI, Amin Memon, vice president of the KCCI, and other senior officials. It was also attended by the president of the chamber of commerce. The KCCI members asked the DIG to deploy additional traffic on busy streets in the city and especially in market areas to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
The DIG issued orders to all the SPs and said that all necessary measures should be implemented. The traffic pressure increases due to one-way violations, he said and added that people are victims of accidents due to violations of traffic rules and they do not take care of traffic discipline at all. Dara said the traffic management is part of traffic enforcement, and it is very important to follow traffic rules.
