Sardar Rahim slams FIRs against GDA workers
Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) Information Secretary Sardar Abdul Rahim on Saturday condemned police actions and the registration of FIRs against workers of the Hur Jamaat and the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F).
Rahim, who is also the PML-F Sindh general secretary, told the police to do justice with the people instead of becoming “stooges of the Zardari mafia”. He said the “Zardari league, which had obtained a fake mandate through fraudulent elections, was blinded by the fire of revenge”.
“False cases of terrorism are being registered against our workers and elders of the Hur Jamaat in Goth Changal Dahri and across Sindh, and the sanctity of homes is being violated to arrest the workers.” He also said that the morale of the workers is high, and that they are not afraid. The GDA’s protest against the “fraudulent” elections will continue until the announcement of new elections, he added.
