Elder, two others injured in SW blast
WANA: An elder and his two other relatives sustained injuries in a roadside explosion in Azam Warsak area in Lower South Waziristan on Tuesday.
Police officials said Malik Raz Muhammad Wazir was on his way in his car when the explosion occurred in Azam Warsak Tora Gola area of Birmal tehsil in Lower South Waziristan.
Malik Raz Muhammad Wazir, his son Salahuddin and brother Niaz Gul Wazir were injured in the blast, officials said, adding, the condition of injured persons was out of danger.
District Police Officer Farmanullah Wardag reached the spot soon after the incident. “We are collecting the evidence and have started an investigation,” he said.
The elders in the area have been facing such attacks since long.
Earlier, presidential award winner and prominent elders Malik Aslam Noor Wazir and his two sons were killed in similar blasts.
