DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The local residents staged a sit-in against the electricity and gas loadshedding and asked the relevant authorities to take solid steps for the supply of gas and power to the people.
Addressing the protesters at GPO Chowk here, Pakistan People’s Party leader and ex-lawmaker Faisal Karim Kundi said that massive loadshedding of gas and electricity was being carried out in Dera Ismail Khan, causing the loss of patience to the people.
“We are now holding a peaceful protest for our rights to press the authorities of both the departments to ensure uninterrupted supply of gas and power to the people,” he said, adding that they would come to the roads if their demands were not met forthwith.
