Islamabad High Court (IHC) allowed former federal minister Fawad Choudhary to meet his wife in separation in prison
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday allowed former federal minister Fawad Choudhary to meet his wife in separation in prison.
A hearing was held on Fawad’s request for permission to meet his lawyers and family in the jail. Chief Commissioner Anwar ul Haq submitted the implementation report of Fawad to the court. The court also ordered Fawad to be provided medical facilities as per the jail manual.
The dignity of the petitioner should be kept in mind, said Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb. Justice Miangul, speaking to the deputy superintendent of Adiala Jail, said that Asif Zardari and
Benazir Bhutto were also prevented from meeting their family and lawyers, and such incidents are shameful for your officers. Later the court allowed Fawad to meet his wife separately in prison.
