Kharadar Hospital organises International Children’s Day
KARACHI: Speaking at the ceremony held at Kharadar General Hospital (KGH) on the occasion of International Children’s Day, Chief Executive Officer of the hospital and well-known child specialist Dr. Khalid Iqbal said that children are the guarantee of our bright future.
By throwing children’s lives into wars and diseases, we are darkening the future of humanity. Protecting children’s lives and creating a healthy society can only achieve the world’s future goals.
He said that countries with humane conscience are saddened and completely protested by the indiscriminate and continuous killing of children in Gaza. Sustainable peace can be established only by the awareness of global conscience and the lives of crying children can be saved.
He said that there is a need for state commitment and national role to improve the health of children in Pakistan. Today, the death of newborn children, lack of immunization coverage, lack of physical and mental development, malaria, typhoid, Deaths due to pneumonia, diarrhea and other germs are very alarming.
In this regard, the policy-making institutions, health department, workforce associated with the child sector have a collective responsibility to play their moral, professional national role to save the lives of children.
