The Pirabad police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a man involved in the manufacturing and sale of gutka.
The suspect was identified as Umarzada, son of Nazeer Shah. His arrest was made in a raid conducted on a tip-off.
Police said they had seized more than 85 kilogrammes of betel nut from his possession along with 25 packets of gutka.
A case has been registered and investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, the Brigade police also arrested a man allegedly involved in the gutka business. He was identified as Saqib, son of Abdul Sattar.
The arrest was made near Qasai Chowk. Police claimed to have seized a large quantity of gutka from his possession.
