Crackdown

Pakistan has initiated a crackdown on undocumented Afghan nationals. This has led to the harassment of Afghans who have been living here legally for years. Abid is our garbage collector and has been working here for years. A few days ago, the police picked him up because he is an Afghan. He was released after he paid a large sum of money. But he is still in danger because the police are arresting all Afghan nationals. Pakistan’s step has impacted their lives badly.
It is heartbreaking to think about other Abids who struggle to earn enough for just two meals a day. These circumstances have deeply affected their lives. The government must address this issue as soon as possible.
