Farah Gogi’s husband denies any deal offer
ISLAMABAD: Ahsan Jameel Gujjar, husband of former first lady’s close friend Farhat Shehzadi claims neither has anyone from the government contacted them for the alleged deal nor have they anything to offer against the former prime minister Imran Khan.
It was claimed that former first lady Bushra Bibi’s closest friend Farhat Shehzadi (Farah Khan) currently living in an undisclosed location abroad has agreed to become approver against former prime minister Imran Khan. The News tried to contact her or her husband Ahsan Jameel Gujjar for the last few days to confirm whether they have agreed to become approver against the former first lady and the premier.
Ahsan Jameel Gujjar finally talked to this scribe. In a telephonic interview with The News, he said through a pre-planned conspiracy, his wife Farah Khan is being defamed and dragged into a controversy again and again. “Serious allegations of corruption were levelled against us in the beginning and now they have started maligning us for becoming approver against Imran Khan. Neither my wife Farah nor I has any kind of evidence against the former prime minister,” he said.
“Let me clarify it again, no one contacted us for any deal or becoming approver against the former first lady Bushra Bibi or Imran Khan. If we had to approach the authorities for a deal, we should have done it from the UAE. Why would we have to travel to Italy or any other country to secure a deal? These are all baseless allegations,” commented Ahsan Jameel Gujjar.
“We have nothing to offer, neither have we done anything wrong. People must have misunderstood us. The day this government came into power, they started a propaganda campaign against us and targeted us. But we have done nothing wrong. All these allegations are concocted. We are tired of giving clarification time and again. We are not politicians; we are common citizens. It is requested that the media should not put us into the limelight,” he said.
To a question about Usman Buzdar quitting the party, he said he was an elected parliamentarian. It is his choice to leave the party or not. “Usman Buzdar was the chief minister of Punjab, he had a public office. We are neither politicians nor we hold any public office. Why are people after us?” he questioned.
About their expulsion from UAE and settling in Italy, he said, “We were never expelled from UAE or any other country.” When asked if they are living in Italy, he said to maintain privacy and security it is better not to disclose the country where they are living.
