And the experience becomes more interesting if you shop in the malls; where one finds everything under one roof. Recently, Karachiites witnessed the grand opening of ‘LuckyOne Mall’ - the largest mall in South Asia. For the launch, the lounge area was beautifully lit and decorated with baby’s breath and lilies. Gold and white theme with hints of red and yellow added to the grandeur of the interior. It was a star-studded event with celebs like Zeba Bakhtiar, Nadia Hussain, Behroze Sabzwari, Tipu Sharif, Angie Marshall and many others in attendance.
The evening started off with Anoushay Ashraf hosting the red carpet. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the formal launch of the mall. However, it was Ayesha Omar who brought the celebrations into full swing by hosting the main event. A surprise performance by LED Butterflies enthralled the guests. Then Mr Sohail Tabba, CEO LuckyOne took the stage and said, “This mall is a magnificent, multi-faceted, first-of-its-kind regional shopping complex that houses over 200 brands and includes a two-level world-class family entertainment centre - Onederland - and a huge food court. It also boasts of Pakistan’s biggest Hyperstar, as well as a mega two-level basement car parking.” After the speech, a 3D projection of how the mall was conceived and developed was presented, highlighting its unique design elements. This was followed by an intriguing Tanura dance performance and a thrilling LED ballet performance. However the highlight of the event was the Treasure Hunt which was an exhilarating experience for those touring the mall in search of the hidden treasure.
