‘Some fresh angle, some new shots’ by Shermeen Zuberi (March 17) was an interesting and informative read. It reminded me of the footage I saw of a snow leopard attacking its prey captured by Jeff Wilson and Mark Smith for the 2006 series Planet Earth.

Hey Ed,

‘Some fresh angle, some new shots’ by Shermeen Zuberi (March 17) was an interesting and informative read. It reminded me of the footage I saw of a snow leopard attacking its prey captured by Jeff Wilson and Mark Smith for the 2006 series Planet Earth. Photojournalism is an amazing field, very much untapped in Pakistan, so it was a great idea for an On Campus cover story. Good job!

Hello Ed,

“Bullies reign out” by S.K was an interesting and thought-provoking read! I think I have also come across such posts on Facebook! Everyone seemed to be angry; some bashed the school, while some thought students were to be blamed solely. There was a lot of confusion at the time. But no one actually cared enough to go and talk to the management and see what the fuss was all about.  It wasn’t surprising at all that only hype was created by media and no solution was provided.

I also liked the way S.K related it to Harry Potter’s characters!

Dear editor,

I am a senior citizen and usually skip your magazine as its for youth, but the picture of the Library of Vienna University of Economics on the back page caught my attention; what an amazing architectural building!

I think you are doing a great job for the youth, so keep up the good work!

Salam Eddy,

ProBattle ‘17 event sounds like an exciting event! The audience must have enjoyed listening to Watson powered bot. I think, this Artificial Intelligence powered supercomputer should be there with the politicians when they are making public speeches. So when they say something positive - which they rarely say, the computer rewards them with candies; and, when they say something negative, it leaves them with a curt remark.

Dear editor,

I absolutely love Us magazine for providing a platform for the youth to just be themselves. The best part is that it covers many areas like poetry, intellectual discourse and humour. I have grown up reading Us every Friday and now when I am in my mid 20’s, I still find myself going through Us magazine from time to time. I would encourage the youth to make a habit of reading Us in order to add some quality reading to their day.

Dear editor,

Salute to Us magazine for holding a poetry competition for young poets and also to those poets who actually took part in the competition to show their capabilities.

As I have sent my poems for the competition, I am anxiously waiting for the results. When will you guys publish the winning poems?

Nazish Sabir

The results of the poetry competition will be announced next month.  We received a lot of contributions and it’s taking us some time to shortlist the winners. Stay tuned!

US MAIL Reflection

Narrated by Abu Huraira (R.A)

Allah’s Apostle (S.A.W) owed a man some debt (and that man demanded it very harshly). The companions of the Prophet wanted to harm him, but the Prophet said to them, “Leave him, as the creditor has the right to speak harshly.” He then added, “Buy (a camel) of the same age and give it to him.” They said, “We cannot get except a camel of an older age than that of his.” He said, “Buy it and give it to him, as the best amongst you is he who pays back his debt in the most handsome way.’
