Wajahat Rauf’s upcoming fourth film, titled Parde Mein Rehne Do was announced earlier this year, and shooting for the film had begun. With Ali Rehman Khan and Hania Aamir essaying lead roles, the film was expected to release this year. If coronavirus didn’t emerge, the film was scheduled to wrap up soon. However, in the wake of COVID-19, the filmmaker has halted the filming - for now.

In a recent statement on social media, writer and director of the film, Wajahat Rauf shared, “Showcase Films has decided to halt shooting of our film Parde Mein Rehne Do in light of the current situation. While we all have deadlines and face the risk of significant financial losses, the risk of corona spreading here like it has in other countries is unimaginable. We thank our cast and crew for being extremely supportive and hope that we can all get through this together and without damage. Stay safe!”

He shared a picture from the set with wife and co-producer Shazia Wajahat and the crew in attendance, wearing masks. He added that they didn’t pose for this picture. Huh. Parde Mein Rehne Do revolves around a social issue tackled with light comedy, according to Wajahat, who is producing the film alongside Zayed Sheikh and Shazia Wajahat.
