In today’s time, with social media becoming the most powerful tool, everything becomes an issue. We reported earlier that while appearing as a guest on a morning show, Firdous Jamal passed undignified remarks on Mahira Khan. While Mahira responded with grace and insisted on accepting other’s opinions, there are people in the industry who have had an extreme reaction to the issue. Momina Duraid of MD Productions, for example, announced that her company will not work with Firdous Jamal in any capacity due to his sexist remarks. After Momina’s statement was released, Feroze Khan, who recently won the Best Actor (Viewers’ Choice) award for Khaani at the LSA 2019, took to social media to express his take on the matter.
“My question...is this what freedom of speech gets you?” he stressed, adding, “Getting someone’s bread and butter cancelled? If it does ... then I want every single @#$% out there bashing any human being on the internet get cancelled the same way! Because you can’t! Enough is enough!”
