Winners of the rebooted Pepsi Battle of the Bands in 2017, music group Kashmir were all set to release the music video for their track, ‘Khwaab,’ which the band funded themselves. However, given the security situation and turmoil following the verdict on Aasia Bibi, the music video for ‘Khwaab’, originally scheduled to release on November 3, was delayed. But as Bilal Ali from the band confirmed to Instep, the music video will finally see the light of day today. “We’re releasing the video on November 9. Had to delay it because of the state of the country.”

Kashmir is made up of six individuals: Bilal Ali (Vocals), Usman Siddiqui (Bass), Ali Raza (Piano/Synth), Zair Zaki (Rhythm Guitar), Vais Khan (Lead Guitar) and Shane J. Anthoney (Drums/Percussion).

Shedding light on what the song is about, Bilal Ali from the band told Instep in an earlier conversation, “The song was just a vision when I started writing it. It was me in a room full of memories playing on loop, sort of what some may believe the afterlife might be like. It felt like I was searching for a way out, but I was just in search of myself.”

Bilal reiterates that the video is not exactly like the song and is quite different.
