Upcoming TV play Baaghi, featuring Saba Qamar, has been dubbed as a biopic on social media sensation Qandeel Baloch who lost her life in the name of honour killing in July last year.
Upcoming TV play Baaghi, featuring Saba Qamar, has been dubbed as a biopic on social media sensation Qandeel Baloch who lost her life in the name of honour killing in July last year. The TV serial has an all star cast including Ali Kazmi, Sarmad Khoosat, Osman Khalid Butt and Khalid Malik. The recent addition to the list is actor-scriptwriter Yasir Hussain but he will have a guest appearance in the play.
“There just one scene that I’ll be doing in the play,” Hussain told Instep. “I interview Qandeel Baloch (essayed by Saba Qamar). It’s not much but I wanted to do this guest appearance because it is a major production and Nina (producer) is a good friend. Also I couldn’t say no to Saba [Qamar], she is my first heroine after all. It was fun doing it. Saba is so much into the character [of Qandeel] that you are intimidated by her.”
Baaghi will go on air later this month.
