Art knows no boundaries. Nothing stops artists from crossing borders for cultural exchange that help strengthen bonds between people and places. The recent clash between Pakistan and India may have put a ban on Pakistani artists working in India but there are some collaborations that were already in works and have reached their final stage.

Art knows no boundaries. Nothing stops artists from crossing borders for cultural exchange that help strengthen bonds between people and places. The recent clash between Pakistan and India may have put a ban on Pakistani artists working in India but there are some collaborations that were already in works and have reached their final stage. Aside from Mom that features Adnan Siddiqui and Sajal Aly alongside Sridevi and Hindi Medium that stars Saba Qamar and Irrfan Khan, another Bollywood film featuring Pakistani artist is Dear Maya.

Starring VJ-turned-actor Madiha Imam alongside veteran Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala, Dear Maya is about love and loss. The trailer of the film is out and it will surely to melt your hearts. Imam plays a pivotal role in the film as she makes an attempt to help Koirala deal with pain and loss through fake love letters. This gives Koirala a sense of belonging to someone who doesn’t exist and from there the story takes a turn. What follows is Imam’s struggle to find Koirala who is chasing behind an imaginary man.

It is interesting to note that Imam has bagged a meaty role in the film that is all about her and Koirala. She hasn’t done much work here in Pakistan but she looks promising in Dear Maya that will mark her Bollywood debut.
