One such effort was when Padukone appeared on the enormously popular daytime talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres show and spoke to the hilarious DeGeneres about her childhood, and her entry into the world of film.

However, it was their discussion about Vin Diesel that left many confused. DeGeneres jokingly questioned Padukone about the picture that started it all. Diesel had earlier shared an image of Padukone on his Instagram account that worked as a sort of announcement of their upcoming film. However, DeGeneres felt that the picture suggested a brewing romance between the two stars.
She then proceeded to directly ask Padukone whether anything was happening between the two, to which Padukone responded “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.” As the audience gasped to her response, she immediately cleared the air by saying that there was a romance brewing, “But it’s all happening in my head.” Okay then.
